Step 1. First of all, press the Windows Key + R keys at the same time to open the Run dialog box .

Step 2. In the Run dialog box , enter gpedit.msc and click OK .

Step 3. The Local Group Policy Editor will open.

Step 4. Now navigate to the following path: User Configuration> Administrative Templates> System .

Step 5 . Find and double-click the “Do not run the specified Windows applications” entry in the right pane.

Step 6. In the window that opens, select “Enabled” and in the parameters click the “Show” button 

Step 7. Now you need to create a list of programs that you want to block from launching. You need to enter the name of the application executable in order to be able to block it. Executable files end in .exe. For example, if you want to block Aida64, you need to type Aida64.exe .

Step 8. Just enter the name of the executable file and click the “OK” button . In the window “Do not start the specified Windows applications” also confirm the action with the “OK” button .

Step 9. Now, when you try to launch the blocked application, you will be given an error message.

Step 10. To discard your changes, select Not Configured in Step 6.
